Job Title: Painter & Renovator/ TradeTools Senior Sales

Location: TradeTools Mackay

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

About the Role
We’re looking for someone with painting & renovation experience to join our team at TradeTools Mackay. This role will initially involve painting & renovation work whilst assisting with all preparation work required for opening our new Mackay store. You would preferably have had experience in commercial painting work using scissor lifts & scaffolding. Once the store opens, the position could also transition into a full-time sales or warehouse role within the store if you wish to do that & you prove suitable.

All equipment will be supplied.

This role would suit a mature or experienced construction worker who’s looking to step away from full-time work on the tools while still staying connected to the trade industry and eventually sharing their knowledge with customers.

Working Hours
As a Full Time Sales Team Member, you’ll work an 11-day fortnight:

Week 1: Monday – Friday
Week 2: Monday – Saturday

We’re closed every Sunday, all National Public Holidays, and we don’t do late-night trading.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Store Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out painting & renovation work as required prior to store opening
• Assisting with preparing the TradeTools Mackay store for launch
• Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers if suitable
• Working with internal teams, other stores, and Business Development Representatives
• Managing in-store inventory
• Processing incoming stock
• Picking and packing outbound orders
• Assembling products for display
• Providing knowledgeable advice and support to customers

What We’re Looking For

• Solid experience in painting, renovating & construction
• Good knowledge of painting tools, materials, and trade equipment
• Maybe someone who is interested in helping us set up & then working in the new TradeTools Mackay store?
