We are seeking skilled and motivated Excavator Fitters who are ready to take the next step into supervision with a Tier 1 miner. This role is ideal for tradespeople wanting to expand their hands-on experience into leadership, while working on some of the largest mining fleets in the Bowen Basin.

Role requirements:

• Day Shift: Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on large mining excavators (CAT, Liebherr, Hitachi).

• Night Shift: Step into a Supervisor role, leading and supporting a maintenance crew.

• Future Pathway: Gain exposure to leadership with opportunities to grow into permanent supervisory or management positions.

• High standard of work quality at all times

• Hardworking approach – reliable and able to work effectively when unsupervised

• Commitment to safety and teamwork

• Able to supply clean D&A upon request

• Must be an Australian resident 

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, repairs and fault-finding on heavy mining excavators.

• Provide guidance and leadership on night shift, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

• Support and mentor fitters and contractors, promoting a strong team culture.

• Report to the Maintenance Superintendent with accurate updates and recommendations.

• Drive improvements in safety, reliability and performance.

Applicants to provide:

• Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter with solid industry experience.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with large mining excavators (CAT, Liebherr, Hitachi).

• Supervisory or leading hand experience is desirable but not essential.

• Team focused, safety driven, with strong communication and reporting skills.

• Minimum 4 years post-trade experience – essential

• Australian Trade Certificate – essential

• Current driver’s license – essential

• Beneficial tickets, such as G189 (S1,2,3), G2 – preferred
