The Opportunity… 

Due to our ongoing market growth, we have openings for Road and Site Sweeper Operators to join our small and friendly team at our Townsville site. You will be providing essential sweeping services for the streets of this picturesque coastal town and surrounding suburbs. The roles report to the Operations Supervisor and are a part of the busy Queensland group of sites. 

While experience as a Sweeper Operator with some dual steering knowledge is desirable, we also welcome applicants with truck driving experience (manual preferred) and a passion to learn—training will be provided!

Being reliable, efficient, and safety-conscious will help your success as a Sweeper Operator for both day and night shifts.

  Okay, great, what are the Responsibilities of the Role?

·         Perform scheduled road and site sweeping duties

·         Carry out general labouring duties as required

·         Ensure all road sweeping work meets management standards and customer expectations

·         Complete site inductions and accreditation when required

·         Perform routine start-up, wash-down, and end-of-shift maintenance tasks.

·         Complete all necessary paperwork and administrative tasks as directed with accuracy

·         Implement relevant safety procedures, maintain compliance to all road rules and National Heavy Vehicle legislation


 What do I need to have to be successful in this Role?… 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ truck driving experience (manual driving experience preferred. Council garbage truck experience or dual steering is a bonus)

  • Current QLD MR license or higher, and a white card 

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a company focus and integrity

  • Strong sense of urgency and punctuality

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Willingness to work varied hours, including weekends

  • Good energy and fitness level

  • Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
