ATOM is a leading Australian supplier of industrial hardware, safety equipment and workwear, with over 40 years of experience supporting Mining, Civil, Government, Oil & Gas, Construction, Engineering and Commercial industries.

Part of what we do is help our customers represent their businesses with professionally branded workwear and uniforms. Our Mackay branch operates a busy in-house embroidery service producing high-quality apparel for customers across the region.

We’re currently looking for a motivated and reliable Embroiderer & Stores team member to join our Mackay team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in producing quality results and likes being part of a supportive, close-knit team.

About the Role

Based at our Mackay branch and reporting to the Embroidery Operations Leader, this role supports both our embroidery production and warehouse operations to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.

You’ll work with our embroidery team to deliver high-quality branded apparel while also assisting with store duties to support the wider branch.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating embroidery machines to produce high-quality branded apparel

  • Preparing garments and setting up embroidery jobs including hoops, threads and designs

  • Reviewing customer specifications to ensure embroidery quality and accuracy

  • Performing quality checks on finished garments

  • Assisting with scheduling and workflow of embroidery orders

  • Supporting picking, packing and preparation of customer orders

  • Maintaining embroidery equipment and ensuring work areas remain clean and organised

  • Working collaboratively with the team to meet production targets and customer expectations


About You

You’re someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality outcomes. You’re reliable, organised and enjoy being part of a team that supports each other.

You’ll bring:

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Great attention to detail and pride in quality work

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Previous embroidery or warehouse experience (advantageous but not essential – training provided)

  • A willingness to learn and contribute to the team

Experience operating embroidery machines (such as Tajima multi-head machines) and/or sewing machinery is highly regarded but not essential.
