Complete Parts & Equipment is strengthening its Mackay branch structure as part of our long-term growth strategy.

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor – Machine Builds & Major Repairs to lead our rebuild workstream and manage a team of 5–10 tradespeople and apprentices.

This is a key operational leadership role within the branch and will play an important part in our 2030 growth and workshop expansion plans.

The Role.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will have full responsibility for the Machine Builds & Major Repairs stream.

Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end ownership of machine rebuilds and major repairs

• Leading and developing a team of 5–10 tradespeople and apprentices

• Planning and scheduling workflow to meet delivery targets

• Margin accountability and job performance management

• Scope control and variation management

• Vendor and subcontractor coordination

• Supporting a small local field service team aligned to rebuild product support

This is a Monday–Friday salary position, focused on supervision, planning and leadership rather than being on the tools full-time.

About You:

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic

• Strong experience in machine rebuilds and major mining equipment repairs

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a workshop or heavy maintenance environment

• Commercially aware with accountability for delivery and margin

• Structured, calm and capable of leading from the front

Caterpillar experience highly regarded.
