About the role
Local Family owned Mechanical & Performance shop is seeking a qualified mechanic to join our team in Currajong, QLD. As a Qualified Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of motor vehicles, working in a modern and well-equipped workshop.

What you'll be doing

• Performing routine maintenance and inspections on motor vehicles

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults

• Carrying out specialist work such as engine rebuilds, brake system overhauls and suspension modifications

• Test driving vehicles to ensure quality of work

• Maintaining detailed job records and providing customer service

• Adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies

What we're looking for

• Formal trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified mechanic in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to identify and resolve complex faults

• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

• Customer service orientation and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers

• Current driver's licence and your own tools

• Ability to work hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with overtime on offer (NO WEEKENDS)
