About the Role

We are seeking someone who thrives in a high-performance environment and understands the expectations of the prestige automotive brands.

As Workshop Controller, you will play a critical leadership role in driving workshop efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction while maintaining OEM standards and compliance.

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller OR Senior Technician / Team Leader ready to step up

  • Strong understanding of workshop KPIs and performance metrics

  • Experience within VW, Audi or Porsche highly regarded

  • Experience with other prestige or luxury automotive brands will also be strongly considered

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • High-level organisational and time management ability

  • Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction

  • Current manual driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control and prioritise daily workshop workflow to meet productivity and efficiency targets

  • Achieve and exceed key industry benchmarks including;

  • Labour sales growth

  • Technician productivity and efficiency

  • WIP control and reduction

  • Comeback reduction and quality assurance metrics

  • Labour gross profit targets

  • Ensure accurate job allocation based on technician skill sets and certification levels

  • Monitor and manage workshop loading to optimise capacity and minimise downtime

  • Support warranty compliance and manufacturer repair standards

  • Oversee repair order quality, documentation accuracy and timely completion

  • Lead daily toolbox meetings and performance reviews

  • Drive a strong safety-first culture and workshop compliance

  • Mentor and develop technicians and apprentices

  • Work closely with Service Advisors to ensure seamless customer communication

  • Assist with diagnostics and technical support where required (semi-productive).
