We are a leading civil construction company completing TMR & Local Government road construction & rehabilitation projects across Far North Queensland. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality infrastructure while maintaining strict safety standards.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance across our construction sites. Your responsibility will be to promote a strong safety culture, implement the Company's Integrated Management System and apply risk management strategies to keep our workforce safe.

DIDO position
The position is based approximately 250 km from Townsville and is available as a DIDO role. Our preferred roster is 10 days on 4 days off. However, we are open to discussing alternative roster arrangements for the right candidate. Accommodation and transport will be provided. Either meals or LAFHA payment in lieu is provided on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, TMR standards, and company policies

  • Conduct site safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments

  • Provide safety training and inductions to employees and contractors

  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

  • Maintain and update Safety Management Systems

  • Collaborate with site teams to promote a positive safety culture

Requirements

  • Relevant safety qualifications (e.g., Cert IV in WHS)

  • A minimum of four years experience in civil road construction (TMR projects preferred)

  • Strong understanding of Queensland safety legislation

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to work in regional locations away from home

  • White Card and current driver's licence required
