We are a growing transport and mining services company seeking an experienced Kenworth Truck Fitter to take ownership of our workshop operations, fleet maintenance, and the mentoring of our great team.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on Kenworth prime movers and side tipper trailers, alongside exposure to other heavy vehicles, plant, machinery and light vehicles. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who wants real responsibility, flexibility, and the chance to help build and shape a workshop the right way from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on Kenworth trucks (primary focus)

  • Maintenance and repairs of other heavy vehicles, trailers, plant, machinery and light vehicles as required

  • Maintain accurate service records, maintenance history and compliance documentation

  • Lead and coordinate daily workshop operations

  • Mentor and support junior staff and apprentices

  • Assist in developing and improving workshop systems, policies and procedures

  • Work closely with management to ensure fleet reliability, safety and uptime

About You

  • Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Truck Fitter

  • Proven experience with Kenworth trucks and trailers (essential)

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience with Kenworth trucks is required

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability

  • Highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented

  • Confident leading a workshop and setting professional standards

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on systems, structure and continuous improvement

  • Australian citizenship is required for this position
