Be part of a business that keeps Central Queensland moving.
Prochem Group of Companies is a Mackay-based, family-owned operation supporting the mining, industrial and heavy haulage sectors across regional Queensland. From bulk chemical supply to heavy vehicle servicing and fleet support, we deliver practical, system-driven solutions to some of the region’s most demanding industries.
As the Authorised Scania Dealer in Mackay — and a recognised dealer for Palfinger, Maxilift, CustomAir, Icepack and Freightquip — our workshop works on industry-leading equipment backed by strong systems, technical capability and long-term client partnerships. We don’t just move parts — we support critical operations across mine sites, haulage fleets and heavy industry.
Following recent internal structural changes within our Service Centre, we are seeking an experienced Service and Parts Advisor to play a key role in maintaining the accuracy, availability and flow of parts that keep our workshop and customers operating at full capacity.
If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your accuracy, product knowledge and decision-making genuinely impact operational performance — this role will challenge and reward you.
Our core values of safety, integrity, excellence and respect are the foundation of everything we do.
Competitive hourly rate aligned with experience

Monday to Friday roster – no weekend work
Stable, full-time position with a locally established Mackay business
Company-provided uniforms

Supportive and collaborative team environment
Work with an experienced and well-resourced Service Centre

Long-term career stability within a diversified business supporting mining and heavy haulage industries
Without our team, we don’t have a business — which is why the health and safety of every team member is genuinely important to us. We look for people who demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices and who understand the importance of working within established systems and procedures.
This is a key position within our Service & Parts team, supporting heavy vehicle repairs across the mining and industrial sectors.
As our Service & Parts Advisor, you will be the central link between customers, technicians and suppliers — ensuring bookings run smoothly, parts are sourced accurately, and jobs are finalised correctly and on time.
You will work closely with our workshop team to keep operations running efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service and accuracy.
In this role, you will:
Coordinate service bookings and confirm required parts are available
Source and supply Scania and non-Scania parts accurately
Prepare quotes, job cards and invoices
Liaise with customers via phone, email and front counter
Support the workshop team to keep jobs moving and minimise delays
Ensure documentation and invoicing meet company and compliance standards
This role is primarily office-based but operates within a busy heavy vehicle workshop environment. It suits someone who is organised, commercially aware, and confident working alongside technicians in an operational setting.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Experience in a service advisor, parts interpreter or workshop coordination role
Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle or mechanical parts (highly regarded)
Confidence communicating with customers, technicians and suppliers
Strong attention to detail, particularly with quoting, job costing and invoicing
The ability to prioritise competing jobs in a fast-paced workshop environment
Solid computer and system skills (ERP/job management experience advantageous)
A professional, reliable work ethic with a calm approach under pressure
A team-focused attitude and willingness to support the broader workshop team
You take pride in accuracy, understand the importance of keeping jobs moving, and are comfortable working in a hands-on heavy vehicle workshop environment.
