We are currently seeking experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitters to join our team at South Walker Creek Mine, just 1.5 hours from Mackay. With a strong partnership in place with our client Stanmore, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing project that has recently secured a five-year contract extension until 2031. 

This role operates on a 7/7 roster, rotating day and night shifts. Accommodation, meals, and bus transport between camp and site are provided.

Key Role Tasks 

• Experience working on the following equipment:

  • Graders 16, 24M

  • Dozers D10, D11

  • Haul Trucks Cat 789, Komatsu 830E, Cat 793

• Working as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment

• Routine servicing and maintenance of all equipment both site workshop and field based

• Fault finding and trouble shooting

• Complete all maintenance administration requirements in a timely and legible manner

• Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings

• Participate in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Work Method Statement Reviews

Role Requirements

• Australian Recognised Trade Qualification

• Experience with service heavy mobile mining equipment

• Working at Heights & High-Risk Work Licence (including Dogging, Rigging, C6 & EWP highly desirable)

• Current Drivers Licence

• Current Standard 11

• Current Coal Board Medical (or ability to pass)

• Solid troubleshooting & diagnostic skill

• Demonstrated safe, professional and productive behaviour
