Job description:

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Heavy Diesel Fitter Apprentice to join our growing team! This is a residential role based in Charters Towers. All applicants must live locally and be current Australian residents.

About the Role

As an apprentice, you will train alongside qualified technicians to service, repair, and troubleshoot on a wide range of underground mobile equipment.

What You'll Learn

• Assist in inspections, servicing, and repairs of mobile equipment
• Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults
• Support preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain workshop and site safety standards
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment
• Complete logbooks and apprenticeship training requirements

What You'll Bring

• A current QLD class driver's licence (manual)
• Genuine interest in mechanical work
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and national police clearance.
