What would I be doing?
As a Marketing Officer, you will play a crucial role in expanding our network of employer partners and driving employment outcomes for people with disabilities across the Mackay region. Your responsibilities would fall into these 3 categories:
Business Development and Partnerships
- Proactively source and develop new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other prospecting techniques.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, understanding their specific hiring needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions.
- Negotiate wage subsidy agreements with employers.
Client Engagement and Support
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored support to help them achieve their career goals.
- Assist clients in transitioning into stable employment, collaborating with the Client Coordinator and Support Officer.
- Communicate employment opportunities to local employment services staff and job-seeking clients.
Marketing and Employer Engagement
- Develop, document, and implement effective marketing strategies to generate appropriate employment opportunities for clients.
- Identify and present innovative marketing ideas and concepts to attract new employers and increase employment opportunities.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of the current labour market conditions and vacancy requirements.
