ACL Industrial Technology is a Queensland-based industrial supplier supporting customers across welding, fabrication, maintenance, and manufacturing. We’re investing in growth across Central Queensland, with Mackay a critical pillar of our expansion strategy.


About the Role

This is a pure business development role, not account management.

As Business Development Manager, you will focus on identifying and converting new business opportunities across Mackay and the Bowen Basin, with ad hoc travel further afield. You’ll spend the majority of your time in the field with customers, supported by internal sales and operations teams who handle quoting and administration to maximise your selling time.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth across Mackay and the Bowen Basin

  • Leverage your industry network to open new opportunities

  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, site visits, and technical demonstrations

  • Confidently discuss and demonstrate welding equipment, wire, and consumables

  • Build and maintain a strong weighted pipeline

  • Achieve sales and profitability targets

  • Travel regularly, including overnight stays as required

  • Maintain accurate CRM and sales reporting


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Business Development Manager or senior BDM experience

  • Strong network in welding, fabrication, or industrial markets

  • Technical capability to credibly demonstrate welding solutions

  • Hunter mindset with a clear growth focus

  • High emotional intelligence, humility, and strong relationship skills

  • Comfortable working autonomously in the field

  • Willingness to travel regularly
