About the Role

As the Business Development Manager at Haymans Electrical, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and expansion. In this full-time position based in Townsville, Queensland, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering strong relationships with prospective clients, and developing innovative strategies to increase the company's market share.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the sales territory

2. Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to attract and convert potential clients

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders

4. Negotiate and close sales contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction

5. Collaborate with the wider team to develop and deliver tailored solutions for clients

6. Provide regular reports and updates on sales pipeline, targets, and performance

7. Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business

What We're Looking For

1. Proven track record of success in a New Business Development or Sales role, preferably within the electrical/construction industry

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients at all levels

3. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a proven ability to convert leads into sales

4. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies

5. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

6. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
