About the role

As the Deli Supervisor at Peries IGA Supermarket Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the deli department. Working in a full-time capacity, you will be based in Yeppoon, Queensland and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and profitability of this key department.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and leading the deli team, including hiring, training, and rostering

• Ensuring high standards of customer service and product quality in the deli

• Developing and implementing strategies to drive sales, optimize product offerings and improve operational efficiency

• Monitoring stock levels, placing orders and managing inventory to minimise waste and maintain optimal stock levels

• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and food hygiene regulations

• Reporting on key metrics and contributing to the overall performance of the store

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a senior position within a deli, cafe, or fast-food environment

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work well under pressure

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
