Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd (DBCT) is located 30 minutes south of Mackay, operates with a name plate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn’t be possible without great people…people just like you!

We’re seeking a highly skilled Condition Monitoring Technician to join the Engineering and Reliability Team. As the Condition Monitoring Technician, you will take a proactive approach to collecting, analysing and advising on the condition of DBCT plant and equipment to improve reliability and minimise breakdowns.

This role is ideal for a technically driven professional with strong diagnostic capabilities and a passion for proactive maintenance.

The role requires a depth of technical knowledge relating to condition monitoring collection and analyse processes and the ability to understand the impact this can have on site equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertise in vibration analysis
  • Previous experience in Condition Monitoring and Inspection with exposure in Reliability Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to different departments in the organisation.
  • High level of planning, scheduling and organisational skills
  • Experience in a bulk materials handling environment
  • Experience conducting investigations and failure analysis
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical recommendations

Desirable Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • Category III Vibration Analyst (Category II candidates who have a willingness to further advance their career and undertake company sponsored Category III training are encouraged to apply)
  • Understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance programs
