Employment Type: Continuous Shift Roster
Roster: 4 days on / 4 days off (2 days, 2 nights)
Location: Townsville
Pay Rate: $35 - 40 (depending on experience)

Overview:


We are seeking a motivated Refinery Operator to join our operations team. In this role, you will support the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, helping maintain balanced production while meeting quality and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily production tasks to support safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Monitor plant and equipment conditions and report any irregularities or faults.
  • Complete shift logs, check sheets, and routine inspections to maximise plant efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean workplace.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities and notify maintenance or supervisors of urgent issues.
  • Participate in shift handovers and ensure the plant is ready for the next shift.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout and environmental requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response, shutdowns, and breakdowns when required.
Requirements:
  • Basic mechanical or process understanding of plant equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Good communication and basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Previous experience in heavy industry or maintenance (desirable).
  • Relevant licenses (Forklift, Crane, EWP, etc.) are advantageous.
  • Willingness to work a 4-on / 4-off continuous shift roster (2 days, 2 nights).
