Are you an experienced leader in mining maintenance looking to step into a key operational leadership role? We are seeking an Area Manager to lead maintenance operations across multiple mine sites, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of heavy mining equipment services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established mining services business supporting large-scale open-cut operations across Queensland.

About the Role
As Area Manager, you will take ownership of operational performance across several site-based maintenance teams. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure equipment availability, strong safety performance, and high-quality maintenance delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support site-based maintenance teams across multiple operations.
- Drive safety culture and compliance.
- Manage client relationships and ensure service delivery meets contractual expectations.
- Oversee maintenance performance, equipment availability, and reliability targets.
- Support site leaders with planning, resourcing, and workforce leadership.
- Identify and implement operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Manage budgets, reporting, and performance metrics across QLD.
- Ensure maintenance activities align with OEM standards and best practice.
- Proven leadership experience in mining maintenance or heavy equipment services.
- Strong knowledge of HME maintenance and open-cut mining operations.
- Experience managing multiple sites or operational teams.
- Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
- Strong focus on safety leadership and operational excellence.
- Trade or engineering background highly regarded.
- Ability to travel to site operations as required.
