Location – Whitsunday Coast Airport

4 On / 4 Off Roster (Day Shift) - $104,965 Base Salary per annum, plus on-call allowances

 

The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Bowen along with the rural towns of Proserpine and Collinsville. The Whitsunday region offers a dynamic environment and is perfectly placed to live, work, play and invest.

Your opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity exists within our Commercial Businesses directorate for an Airport Reporting Officer. In this role, you will be accountable for the inspection, monitoring, reporting and general maintenance of aeronautical safety and security facilities at the Whitsunday Coast Airport while providing quality customer service when liaising with a wide variety of clientele.

Your skills and experience:

Essential

  • Current Queensland C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Aviation Security Identification Card.
  • Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certificate (CASA.
  • Aerodrome Works Safety Officer Certificate (CASA).

Desirable

  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Current Airport Reporting Officer’s Certificate or recognised industry equivalent and four (4) years airport operations experience in a similar role.
  • Radio Telephone Operator Proficiency Licence and appropriate experience.
  • QLD Firearm Licence and experience in safe management of firearms.
