ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable and safety focused Truss & Frame Production Worker to join our manufacturing team in Townsville. This hands-on role involves the assembly and production of roof trusses and wall frames in a factory environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality building products to our customers.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing, carpentry, or construction or for someone who has a passion for using their hands and keen to learn new skills a stable industry

 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

Prior experience with Truss fabrication is highly desirable, however not essential for someone who is keen and eager to learn. The role is well suited to someone with confidence who enjoys working with people. 

  • Cutting and assembling frames and trusses
  • Assembly of pre-fab frames and roof trusses
  • Picking timber orders and general yard work
  • Assess stock requirements and job prioritisation
  • Ensure jobs are completed within a timely manner
  • Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions.
  • Ensure product is handled safely to prevent injury and damage to product.
  • Undertake regular product training with market leading brands
  • Work as part of a team to meet production schedules and quality standards

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Utilisation of various hand and power tools for assembly is part of the everyday and we therefore need someone who can and will safely operate and maintain equipment and machinery
  • Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods 
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with high level of accuracy 
  • High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors
  • Ability to learn new skills and understand instructions
  • Enjoyment of manual labour and getting your hands dirty
  • Previous experience working in a factory environment
  • Finally have a ‘hands on’ with a 'can do' attitude
  • Manual Vehicle Licence
  • Forklift Licence (LF) Advantageous
