The Fleet Officer plays a key role in supporting the effective management of Council’s Light Fleet program. This role provides analytical, financial and operational support to ensure fleet services are efficient, compliant and aligned with Council’s strategic objectives.

About this opportunity:

The Fleet Officer contributes to the effective management of Council’s Light Fleet program through the provision of analytical, financial, and operational support. Reporting insights and data-driven advice provided by this role support informed decision-making across Council.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing fleet performance reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Undertaking financial modelling, lifecycle costing and replacement planning for Council’s Light Fleet
  • Supporting procurement activities, including coordination of vehicle purchases, disposals and contracts
  • Assisting with fleet budgeting, expenditure tracking and financial analysis
  • Maintaining accurate fleet data and systems to support compliance and reporting requirements
  • Providing advice and support to internal stakeholders on fleet-related matters
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across fleet operations

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in fleet administration, asset management, finance, procurement or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and preparing reports
  • Sound financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting or cost modelling experience
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Current “C” Class Driver Licence (or ability to obtain)
