The opportunity

Thomas Borthwick & Sons (Australia) Pty Ltd, a leading beef processing company, is seeking skilled Meat Workers including Boners, Slicers and Slaughterers to join their team in Mackay, Queensland. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Expertly prepare meat products through boning, slicing and slaughtering procedures

  • Ensure all meat processing activities adhere to strict health, safety and quality standards

  • Operate specialised machinery and equipment with a high level of care and precision

  • Collaborate with the wider production team to maintain efficient workflow and productivity

  • Participate in ongoing training to continuously develop your skills and knowledge

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Boner, Slicer or Slaughterer in a commercial meat processing environment

  • Exceptional dexterity, hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

  • Strong understanding of meat processing techniques, quality control and food safety regulations

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

  • Commitment to upholding high standards of health and safety

  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

  • Australian work rights are required for this position
