About the Role
We are seeking a Legal Secretary / Paralegal to join our busy Litigation team in Mackay. This role will provide support to solicitors across a range of litigation matters and is well suited to someone with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment.

We welcome applications from both junior candidates looking to start a legal career and experienced legal secretaries or paralegals seeking their next opportunity.

Training and support will be provided where required, while experienced candidates will have the opportunity to contribute their existing skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft legal correspondence and documents

  • Liaise with clients, courts, and other legal professionals

  • Manage diaries and assist with scheduling appointments

  • Prepare bills and maintain accurate file records

  • Assist with document preparation and file management

  • Provide general administrative support to solicitors as required

About You

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of English proficiency

  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Friendly, professional, and confident communicating with clients

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
