We're Hiring: Business Support Officer

$51.12 per hour

Contract - Start ASAP until end of May 2026 (with possibility of extension)

⏰ Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

Position Overview

As a Business Support Officer, you'll provide high-level administrative support. Your work will help drive business research, reporting, implementation, and day-to-day operations that support the delivery of essential services.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Reception & Office Support
  • Manage incoming calls, mail, and packages
  • Provide office reception coverage
  • Fleet Administration
  • Book vehicles using UMS
  • Check logbooks and fuel invoices for discrepancies
  • Enter odometer readings
  • Track vehicle applications
  • Assist with the physical fleet tasks - comfortable entering/exiting or occasionally driving vehicles/trucks when gathering information or arranging servicing


Administration & Systems

  • Record paper files using the Content Manager database
  • Perform spare computer updates
  • Provide ad-hoc admin support
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures


Mandatory Requirements

  • ✔️ Accounts payable experience (coding invoices using chart of accounts & job numbers)
  • ✔️ Strong analytical and research ability
  • ✔️ Excellent attention to detail & problem-solving skills
  • ✔️ Time management and ability to prioritise tasks
  • ✔️ Strong multitasking skills
  • ✔️ Clear communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to work in a team


Highly Desirable Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Customer support experience
  • Confident use of **Microsoft Office Suite**
  • Understanding of asset management and project lifecycles
  • Ability to identify issues and implement solutions
  • Adaptability with shifting priorities
  • Initiative and ownership of your work
  • Reliability, professionalism, and strong ethical conduct
