About the role

Mercure Townsville is seeking a motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of our hotel, contributing to the overall guest experience. This position is based in Townsville, QLD 4810.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping team, including scheduling, task allocation and quality control

• Ensuring guest rooms, public areas and other hotel spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation

• Providing hands-on support and training to the housekeeping team to develop their skills and knowledge

• Inventory management, including ordering and replenishing supplies as needed

• Investigating and resolving any housekeeping-related guest complaints or issues

• Collaborating with other hotel departments to deliver exceptional customer service

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within the hospitality industry

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team

• Proficient in the use of housekeeping equipment and cleaning products

• A positive, customer-focused attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
