At Mr Marco Sushi Inu we serve modern Japanese, and have made a reputation for our fast friendly service, fresh sushi, value for money meals and authentic Tokyo-style ramen, since opening our first store in Deeragun, 2021. We now have two locations: Deeragun + Garbutt, and have the below positions available for immediate start in our DEERAGUN location (located 20 mins from the city).

Casual Position (25-30 hours) SUSHI MAKER:

Position is located at Mr Marco Sushi Deeragun: address is 2-10 Deeragun Road, Deeragun QLD 4818 - please only apply for this position if you have a car or live in the Northern Suburbs (North Shore, Deeragun, Burdell, Cosgrove, Jensen, Mount Low, Bushland Beach) as buses are not regular and it is unsafe to ride bikes/scooters on the highway.

• Previous experience working in Asian cuisine restaurant or takeaway store (rolling sushi, cutting sashimi, kitchen prep)

• Availability to work various rostered hours, 5 days a week between 8am - 4pm

• High standards of food handling & preparation

• Attention to detail with consistent, excellent standard of food presentation 

• Able to work efficiently to complete workload within time frames provided

• Friendly, happy & teachable personality who is reliable and willing to play their part in a small team environment

• Great customer service skills and willing to assist in other departments during staff breaks / busy periods (serving + making orders)

• Excellent personal presentation & well-groomed appearance

What we offer:

• Casual term employment in a small, friendly work environment. We will provide you with award rates, and a legal employment contract and exit reference!

• Paid Training - come with excellent presentation and a great attitude and we will teach you the rest!

• Hours are Monday - Friday, between 8am - 2/4pm.

Rates of pay are according to the Fast Food Industry Award Pay Guide 2025: Position is adult Level 1.
