Poppies Café is looking for an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead our café team and oversee the daily operations.

Located within a thriving aquatic facility, Poppies Café services families, swimmers, events, and the wider community throughout the day. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, community focused environment and takes pride in delivering great coffee, great service and a well run café.

As Café Manager, you will take ownership of the café’s operations including staff leadership, customer service standards, stock management and maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the café

• Lead, train and support café staff

• Manage staff rosters and shift coverage

• Maintain high standards of coffee quality, food preparation and presentation

• Manage stock ordering and supplier relationships

• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements

• Deliver excellent customer service and manage customer feedback

• Monitor café performance and assist with improving efficiency and sales

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a café or hospitality leadership role

• Has strong barista and coffee knowledge

• Is confident leading and supporting a team

• Is organised, reliable and proactive

• Thrives in a busy environment

• Is passionate about customer service
