The John Flynn College is an independent Residential College at James Cook University in Townsville with a proud tradition of providing a caring and supportive environment for 250 young adults living and studying at James Cook University. We are seeking to employ people with a genuine commitment to helping young adults achieve to their full potential.

We are seeking experienced, motivated and organised cleaning staff able to work unsupervised for casual hours over a five day roster (Monday to Friday).

Applicants must have a minimum of 6-12 months cleaning experience to be considered for this position.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

Most of our staff work school hours, so you could do that too if it suited your lifestyle

Cleaning staff - $31.23 per hour + super

We are an accommodation provider, so the role is similar to cleaning at a motel or hotel. Responsibilities include

• cleaning and maintaining all areas of the College to a high standard of cleanliness

• cleaning bathrooms

• safe use and storage of chemicals approved for use at the College

• removal of rubbish

• delivery of linen

• safe use and maintenance of all cleaning equipment and the wearing of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
