The Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for an Operational Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

This is a multi-skilled position, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support services for a patient centred health care environment including cleaning, linen services, food services assistant, removal of waste, transportation of patients, equipment and materials around the hospital.  This position will require the ability to achieve the required quality and safety standards that are set within the department initiative and sound judgement, exercise a degree of autonomy and to work with and provide support for supervisor operational service.

About the Team

The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities: The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine. The hospital is a 33-bed acute hospital, which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of Community Health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.

The Support Services Department plays an important role in supporting the delivery of a quality and cost-effective support service to the Mackay Hospital and Health Service. A wide range of functions are covered by the team, including service delivery roles within the Proserpine Hospital.
