About the role

Pulse Cardiac Care is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team in Pimlico, QLD. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the overall operations of our medical practice. This is a part-time casual position intended to help run cardiology specialist clinics on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

What you'll be doing

1. Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

2. Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling inquiries

3. Coordinate patient bookings and appointments.

4. Updating and maintaining the database of patients' and doctors' information, ensuring confidentiality.

5. Provide support and assistance for patients by checking vital parameters (HR, BPI), including ECG’s.

6. Correcting/editing medical letters/reports before dispatching them to their intended destinations.

7. Booking, coordinating and organising procedures in liaison with the Mater Hospital Cath Lab staff.

8. General office maintenance and housekeeping.

9. Assisting with other tasks as required to support the medical practice

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff

3. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage various responsibilities

4. Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures

5. Proficiency in using standard office software, such as Microsoft Office and patient management systems

6. A warm, friendly, and professional demeanour to provide an exceptional patient experience
