About us:

The Rockhampton Mental Health Community Services team is the heart of specialist care for the region. We provide essential interventions, from assessment to therapeutic treatment, for adults across the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast areas. Our service is built on collaboration—partnering with inpatient teams, primary health, and NGOs to facilitate genuine consumer recovery. We are a team that prides itself on being connected, inclusive, and deeply rooted in the community we serve, offering a stable and welcoming environment for clinicians at all career stages.

About the role:

  • Deliver contemporary, profession-specific clinical assessments, treatment, and evaluation within a multidisciplinary framework.
  • Provide discipline-specific case management to consumers with complex mental health conditions and support for their families.
  • Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions in both outpatient and home settings.
  • Liaise with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including GPs and NGOs, to advocate for consumer needs.
  • Contribute to the clinical education and supervision of less experienced practitioners and students.
  • Participate in discharge planning and the evaluation of care using evidence-based outcome data.

About you:

  • You hold a tertiary degree in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy with the appropriate registration (AHPRA, AASW).
  • You demonstrate a competent level of knowledge and skill to undertake routine clinical practice with a basic understanding of recovery-focused care.
  • You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to establish effective partnerships within a multidisciplinary team.
  • You are an organized professional capable of managing your time and prioritizing tasks in a busy community setting.
  • You are committed to lifelong learning and contributing to the professional development of yourself and your peers.
  • You apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to solve problems and improve consumer outcomes.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $11,321 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $58.08 - $60.05 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
