We are seeking an experienced Casual Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team. This role requires flexibility and availability to work shifts between 7:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, covering a range of morning and afternoon shifts as required.

This is a hands-on position where you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service in a busy general practice environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and manage front desk reception duties.

  • Answer telephone calls, manage appointments, and coordinate bookings.

  • Process patient billings, Medicare/DVA/TAC claims, and private accounts.

  • Liaise with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and external providers.

  • Manage incoming/outgoing correspondence and maintain patient records.

  • General administrative tasks to support daily clinic operations.


About You:

  • Previous medical reception experience is essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong computer skills (experience with [Best Practice/MedicalDirector/Other PMS] desirable).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail, organisational skills, and a professional presentation.

  • Availability between 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (rostered casual shifts) with the opportunity to progress to a full-time position.
