The Quality and Safety Division leads and supports the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care across Central Queensland Health. Operating as a trusted business partner to all clinical delivery areas, we provide expert guidance, governance frameworks, and practical support to ensure care is delivered to the highest standards. Through close collaboration, we help clinical teams translate data into actionable insights, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure clinical excellence remains at the heart of our service.

About the role:

  • Lead clinical incident management and patient safety improvement priorities across the health service.
  • Translate complex data and legislative requirements into actionable safety insights.
  • Provide expert guidance and governance frameworks to clinical delivery areas.
  • Facilitate educational content and systems that support clinical investigations and service compliance.
  • Build productive relationships across clinical and non-clinical areas to influence safety outcomes.

About you:

  • You are appointable as a Health Practitioner, Registered Nurse or Administration Officer – with the relevant qualification, registration or experience.
  • You have high-level knowledge of National Standards and clinical incident management systems.
  • You possess advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to address system-level risks.
  • You are a confident communicator capable of negotiating and influencing at a senior level.
  • You have proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams within complex service environments.
  • You are passionate about creating a culture of learning and accountability.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,385 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. (HP5)
  • An hourly rate between $70.66 - $75.83 p.h. (AO7)
  • An hourly rate between $68.86 - $74.76 p.h. (NRG7)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
