About the Role

As an Engineering Superintendent, you'll be responsible for leading a mechanical maintenance and capital work crew to deliver a program of maintenance work which supports the reliable operation of sugar mill assets.

Role Responsibilities

  • Bring the asset strategy to life by implementing maintenance activities such as servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by forecasting maintenance needs and assisting with scheduling to minimise production disruptions.
  • Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to map out safe and realistic work schedules.
  • Dive into data to spot opportunities for improvement and boost factory and equipment reliability.
  • Team up with the Reliability team to set ambitious goals and strategies for the future of the factory and capital plans.
  • Be part of a high performing team in selecting, designing and commissioning new plant and equipment to ensure top-notch performance and effectiveness.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings -

  • tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline) or equivalent practical experience 
  • intermediate to senior, maintenance and reliability experience in a heavy industrial environment
  • proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • (desirable but not essential) a trade qualification in relevant disciple, proficient in us of SAP and MS Project and industry qualification or equivalent practical experience in Supervisory Skills.
