What makes this role special

Step into a dynamic role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. This position offers a rich blend of technical design, detailed documentation, client engagement, and on-site experience.


You’ll work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams, gaining hands-on project experience, professional mentoring, and the guidance needed to advance toward your RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) accreditation.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Design & Documentation: Deliver structural designs and documentation across concrete, steel, timber, and masonry—aligned with NCC and Australian Standards. 
  • Wind Loading Expertise: Apply your knowledge of wind codes—experience here is a strong advantage.
  • Technical Reporting: Produce clear, professional reports and specifications to support project delivery.  
  • Coordination & Review: Review drawings and documents, providing markups that enhance team collaboration.  
  • Site Engagement: Attend site inspections, respond to RFIs, and support construction-phase queries.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, and designers to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions.

About You


You're a driven and detail-oriented Structural Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys the challenge of diverse projects. You’re ready to take the next step in your career and make a meaningful impact in a region where your skills truly matter.


We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (essential)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in structural design, with a strong foundation in residential or steel and suspended concrete slab projects
  • Solid understanding of Australian Standards and the NCC, with confidence designing in concrete, steel, timber, and masonry
  • Proficiency in Revit (highly regarded)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
  • A current base in the Rockhampton - or you're open to relocating (we’re happy to discuss relocation support).
