Site Engineer – Civil & Structural | Townsville

Komform is expanding our delivery team in Townsville and seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support an exciting pipeline of upcoming civil and structural works.

Komform is a growing contractor with a leadership team that has delivered some of Australia’s largest Tier‑1 infrastructure projects. Our own delivery footprint includes the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project, with further FRP, structural and civil packages now mobilising across Queensland. We focus on safe, high‑quality construction with a strong emphasis on precision, durability and best‑for‑project outcomes.

This role offers hands‑on involvement across FRP and structural scopes within a supportive, high‑performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate site works to ensure they are delivered safely, to quality, and in line with the construction program.

  • Interpret design information for onsite delivery and contribute to design improvements and constructability solutions.

  • Manage temporary works design, approvals and adherence to design throughout site works.

  • Manage procurement of plant, equipment and materials to facilitate site works.

  • Maintain accurate daily progress reports, cost tracking and registers.

  • Perform site inspections and quality verification checks. Compilation and close-out of QA documentation.

  • Support the safe delivery of site works through implementation of SWMS, risk assessments and permits.

  • Coordinate with supervision, interfacing site teams, the client and stakeholders to facilitate effective delivery of project works.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum 2 years of post‑graduate experience as a Site Engineer, previous FRP experience preferred.

  • Strong experience delivering civil and/or structural scopes in complex construction environments.

  • Sound understanding of QA systems and construction methodologies.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate design documentation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for facilitating meetings and site coordination with supervision, the client, and stakeholders.

  • Effective cost control skills.

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.

  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.
