Maintenance Leading Hand

Golding is looking for a Maintenance Leading Hand to join our Maintenance Team at South Walker Creek Mine, near Nebo. If you know your gear, can lead from the front, and want a gig with a solid crew — this one’s for you!

As the Maintenance Leading Hand, you will oversee and ensure the safe and cost-efficient completion of repairs and maintenance for the Golding equipment fleet. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

What you’ll do:

• Lead the maintenance team and keep jobs safe, on time, and up to standard
• Support the crew, mentor fitters, and jump in where needed
• Stay on top of parts and critical spares
• Work with planning and production to keep the fleet rolling
• Carry out and review plant inspections
• Run shutdowns, troubleshoot problems, and help with shift handovers
• Step up as Acting Supervisor when required.

Requirements:

• Trade Certificate (Australian Recognised)
• Leading hand experience in a mining environment including S1, S2, S3, G2 Competencies.
• RII’s including Test and Move Mobile Equipment
• Current Working at Heights & Confined Space certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Current Standard 11
• Ability to successfully complete a Coal Board Medical
• Strong safety mindset
• Experience with CAT, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment is highly regarded.

Fleet List:

• CAT 793 and Komatsu 830E haul trucks
• Hitachi EX1200–EX5600 excavators
• CAT 16M/24M graders
• D10/D11 dozers
• CAT service and water support units
