Contract Role | Start ASAP – Early 2027 (with review for extension)

Saints Catholic College is seeking a Residential Supervisor (RS) to support the wellbeing, safety and community life of university students living in residence. This role is suitable for an individual or couple interested in working within a supportive student accommodation environment.

This live-in role provides after-hours supervision, pastoral care, and community support for students living at the College. Working closely with the Pastoral Care Manager and Head of College, the Residential Supervisor plays an important role in maintaining a safe, respectful and positive residential environment.

This position is ideal for someone interested in student support, residential life, pastoral care, youth work, community leadership, or university accommodation services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide after-hours supervision and support for students in residence

  • Be on-call regularly throughout the academic year

  • Support and guide Residential Advisors (student leaders)

  • Assist with student check-in/check-out, orientation weeks and College events

  • Promote student wellbeing, respectful behaviour and a positive study environment

  • Respond to resident concerns, welfare issues and building security matters

  • Assist with community building and residential activities

Requirements

  • Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)

  • National Criminal History Check (within the last 12 months, satisfactory)

  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong communication, leadership and conflict resolution skills

About You

You are approachable, responsible and comfortable working with young adults in a residential setting. You have the ability to respond calmly to student welfare matters and contribute positively to a diverse residential community.

Applicants may maintain external daytime employment, but must be willing to live onsite and be an active member of the College community.
