Why This Role Matters As a valued member of our team supporting acute brain injury clients, you will play a critical role in the early stages of recovery, where consistency, patience and skilled support make a life-changing difference. You’ll:
- Deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support that respects each client’s dignity, cognitive capacity, and stage of recovery.
- Assist clients with intensive daily living needs, including personal care, mobility support, mealtime assistance, and structured therapeutic activities aligned with clinical care plans.
- Support clients through emotional regulation, behavioural changes, and cognitive challenges commonly experienced following acute brain injury.
- Work closely with families, nurses, allied health professionals and clinical teams to reinforce rehabilitation goals and promote functional progress.
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation to ensure continuity of care, clinical compliance, and safe handovers between shifts.
- Promote a calm, structured, and culturally safe environment that supports neurological recovery and client wellbeing.
Who We’re Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who:
- Is willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (if applicable), NDIS Worker Screening, and has eligibility to work in Australia.
- Has a valid P2 or Open driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, registration, and insurance (travel across Greater Brisbane required).
- Is willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Is willing to obtain NDIS certifications for Supporting Effective Communication and Safe & Enjoyable Meals.
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and strong boundaries, with excellent documentation and computer skills.
