• *About the Position**An excellent opportunity has become available for **Casual Coal Quality Testers** to work in **Mackay Coal terminal**.

We are looking for enthusiastic local people who are looking for an opportunity to be trained as a Coal Quality Testers to become a part of the Ports team, **based in Mackay. Day to Day**Reporting to the Ports Supervisors, the position requirements include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe & efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructions.
• Enter validated results into the reporting system.
• A range of analytical tests including Total Moisture
• A range of physical tests including sample preparation, crushing, dividing and sample storage.
• *Skills requiredFull training will be provided** to successful candidates.

However, to be considered for this position, you will have:

• A strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good grasp of computers/technology including spreadsheets.
• Comfortable with manual handling duties.
• Ability to work to a **flexible roster and willingness to work 12-hour day, day or night shifts.

Valid Driver’s License.

• Competent within a strong safety culture.

As part of the selection process, **a pre-employment medical exam is required**, including a drug and alcohol assessment.
