ResourcePro is supporting a major mining operator seeking experienced Project Managers and Contracts Administrators to support the delivery of surface and underground capital projects for the expansion of an operating mine in Western Queensland.

These opportunities form part of a significant pipeline of capital infrastructure works including mechanical installations, underground infrastructure, utilities, and associated surface facilities.

Roles are offered on a contract basis with competitive remuneration packages.

Project Manager – Mining Capital Projects (x4 positions)

• FIFO roster options available (4:3, 8:6 or 7:7)
• Flights available from Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns

Contracts Administrator – Mining Projects (x1 positions)

• Primarily work-from-home based
• Supporting procurement and tender processes across multiple capital projects


About the Roles

Project Manager – Mining Capital Projects

Project Managers will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of capital projects across surface and/or underground mining operations. This includes scope development, contractor engagement, budget management, scheduling, and ensuring the safe execution of works.

Projects include infrastructure such as pump stations, ventilation systems, paste reticulation, water reticulation, and other surface and underground mechanical infrastructure.


Contracts Administrator – Mining Projects

The Contracts Administrator will support project delivery by developing tender scopes, coordinating procurement activities, evaluating tenders, and processing contracts through the client’s established supply framework.

This role works closely with project delivery teams to ensure procurement and contracting processes align with project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Project Manager

• Lead delivery of capital projects across mining operations
• Define scopes of work and manage project budgets and schedules
• Manage contractors and oversee construction activities
• Maintain strong safety leadership and compliance standards
• Support commercial, procurement, and contract management activities

Contracts Administrator

• Develop tender scopes of work for capital project packages
• Coordinate tender processes including RFQs/RFTs and contractor engagement
• Support tender evaluations and contractor selection
• Process contracts through the company’s procurement framework
• Maintain governance and compliance with procurement procedures


About You

Project Manager

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Mining or Electrical preferred) or Project Management qualification
• Experience delivering capital projects in mining, resources, construction, or heavy industry
• Strong commercial and financial management capability
• Experience managing contractors and construction delivery
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills

Contracts Administrator

• Experience in contracts administration, procurement, or tender coordination
• Background in mining, construction, engineering, or heavy industry environments
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding
• Experience managing tender processes and contractor engagement
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
