Precise Positioning Solutions (PPS) is a well-established and highly respected engineering surveying company servicing the Central Queensland region, with offices located in Rockhampton and Emerald. We specialise in delivering high-quality engineering surveying and underground service locating solutions to a diverse range of clients across the construction, infrastructure, mining, and government sectors.

Our team proudly supports projects for major construction contractors, mine sites, regional councils including CHRC, RRC and IRC, as well as state government agencies such as TMR and RoadTek. PPS has built a strong reputation through the successful delivery of technically complex projects and our continued involvement in major infrastructure and resource sector developments throughout the region.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, PPS is seeking a motivated and professional Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering high-quality surveying outcomes, maintaining strict safety standards, and working collaboratively with clients and project teams.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • project survey control establishment

  • construction set-out (roads, bridges, railway and mine sites)

  • as-built surveys

  • detail surveys

  • data processing and 3D CAD output files (12d Model software)

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should ideally possess the following:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in engineering surveying or construction surveying is preferred
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply and will be considered for a junior position with appropriate mentoring and training
• Experience working on civil, infrastructure, mining or construction projects will be highly regarded
• Proficiency with modern survey equipment and software (such as GNSS, total stations, and survey processing software)
• Experience or interest in utility locating and subsurface investigations is advantageous but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to survey accuracy
• Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility
Current Australian driver’s licence
