Hopkins Brothers is a leading supplier of quarry products and civil plant hire, based in Rockhampton QLD.

Due to continued growth and a strong forward pipeline of work across Rockhampton and the wider Central Queensland region, we are seeking experienced Plant Operators to join our team in multiple full-time roles supporting our Civil and Quarry operations.

We are a locally owned business with long-term projects, a strong safety culture, and a focus on well-maintained plant, consistent work, and fair conditions.

About the roles on offer:

  • Operation of Moxys, front-end loaders, and excavators (other skillsets welcome to apply)

  • Quarry production, load and haul, and civil support works

  • Working across civil projects, quarry sites, and internal plant hire operations

  • Completing daily pre-starts and basic plant inspections

  • Operating safely, efficiently, and unsupervised when required

  • Following site procedures, safety systems, and supervisor direction

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience operating Moxys, loaders and/or excavators

  • Strong safety awareness and the ability to work in quarry and civil environments

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • White Card (Construction Induction) – essential

  • Relevant plant tickets and competencies

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening, and participate in ongoing testing as required.

  • Permanent residency status required for this position
