RRETS is seeking applications from the Construction Supervisor/ Inspector (Road works) that meets the below criteria. The position is based in North West Queensland. We offer competitive rates on the ABN contracts. If you are looking for short term or long term contracts, apply here.
Desirable skills and experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the supervision and/or surveillance of road construction, unsealed roads, bitumen and asphalt, surfacing, drainage structures.
Thorough understanding and knowledge of RMPC and DRFA guidelines
Thorough understanding of technical standards about road construction
Ability to live and work in remote areas
Ability to travel longer distances
Ability to collect road defect data using digital devices, and straight edge or similar
Ability to work flexible FIFO or DIDO roster
Ability to provide technical advice concerning pre-construction, construction and maintenance
Ability to conduct and/or manage audits of contractors work and ensure compliance related to approved scope, and relevant standards
Monitor and report delivery of DRFA/Construction/Maintenance projects
Prepare and maintain detailed records.
Computer skills in Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, file management and email
Ability to use apps such as Reflect, Recover, RADAR or similar

Job Types: Fixed term, Casual
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $70.00 – $90.00 per hour
