Infrastructure Services Division's Regional Operations is seeking a dedicated permanent Infrastructure Advisor to join their Central Queensland Region Team. You will provide quality advice and consultancy services to schools, senior management and staff on a diverse range of facilities planning, investment and portfolio operations. You will be based in the Mackay Office.

About the Role

As an Infrastructure Advisor, you'll be the key infrastructure partner for a portfolio of schools. No two days are the same each decision you make directly supports student wellbeing, learning outcomes and school communities.

You'll provide advice and hands-on support across:

  • Maintenance, refurbishment and capital works
  • Asbestos management and compliance
  • Storm and disaster recovery
  • Enrolment capacity planning
  • Infrastructure solutions for students with diverse needs

Regular site visits are central to the role, allowing you to build strong, trusted relationships with principals and staff while developing a deep understanding of each school's unique context. You'll also collaborate with project managers, architects and contractors to deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
