We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Support Workers and Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. Due to ongoing expansion, casual opportunities are available across Mackay.

As a Residential Youth Support Worker, you will provide consistent guidance, care, and mentorship to young people living in residential settings, supporting their safety, wellbeing, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities include:
Building positive, trusting relationships and acting as a positive role model
Providing individualised support tailored to each young person’s needs
Assisting with daily living activities including personal care, meals, medication, and household tasks
Encouraging participation in social, recreational, and community activities
Monitoring progress and completing accurate documentation and reports
Collaborating with families, professionals, and external stakeholders
Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment in line with WHS requirements
Providing emotional support and responding appropriately to challenging situations
Participating in training and team meetings to support ongoing professional development

As a Disability Support Worker, you will support individuals to live as independently and confidently as possible within their homes and communities, enabling participation in meaningful daily activities.
Key Responsibilities include:
Delivering person-centred support aligned with individual goals and needs
Assisting with personal care, mobility, meals, medication, and household tasks
Supporting community access, appointments, and social activities
Promoting skill development and independence
Completing accurate support notes, progress reports, and incident documentation

Successful applicants will demonstrate:
Experience in youth work, disability support, community services, or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, empathetic, and professional approach
Excellent organisation, adaptability, and time-management skills
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnight

Current Queensland Blue Card
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
Current First Aid & CPR certification

Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Fire EMT and Hope and Healing Framework
(Support can be provided to obtain these where required)
