About the role
We are seeking Personal Care Assistants who are committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of in-home care for our valued clients.
Key responsibilities?
Providing personal care and assistance with hygiene, toileting, bathing, grooming and other ADL activities
Assisting clients with mobility and transfers, along with other activities to help maintain an independent lifestyle
Assisting clients with general housekeeping duties i.e. cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dusting as prescribed in the clients’ care plans
Providing social support activities which may include driving clients to appointments and assorted locations
Recognising and responding to change in a client's condition, as well as documenting and communicating this information as required
Ensuring clients are treated with dignity and respect and supported to exercise choice and independence
Other things you might like to know
You will be required to use your private vehicle for work purposes, with a kilometre-reimbursement offered,
Paid compliance checks offered including NDIS Worker Screening; and
Opportunity for the position to develop into a part-time role in the future.
About you:
Minimum Certificate III qualification i.e. Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services
Preferably 12 months experience working in the Home Care sector, particularly with Home Care Packages and CHSP funded care services
Willingness to embrace domestic care duties as part of their role
Genuine empathy with elderly clients and a passion to work within the community service industry
Understanding of specialised service delivery within diverse groups, specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, Veterans, Disability, Mental Health, LGBTI+ and Homelessness
