About the Role

Are you passionate about strengthening families and communities? Mercy Community is seeking a Lead Local Level Alliance (LLA) Facilitator to join our team in Townsville.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in raising awareness of the Family and Child Connect service, building strong partnerships with service providers, and creating meaningful connections that support families when they need it most.

Salary: $100,000 – $105,530 per annum (SCHADS L5) + superannuation + generous salary packaging

What you’ll be doing

As a Lead LLA Facilitator, you’ll be a mentor, connector, and advocate for best practice. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing reflective practice support and peer mentoring to LLA Facilitators

  • Supporting onboarding, induction and capability-building for new LLA Facilitators

  • Developing tools and resources to ensure consistency in documentation, stakeholder engagement, and community practice

  • Driving community outreach through events, presentations, and seminars that raise awareness and strengthen connections

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who thrives on collaboration and is committed to making a difference. To be successful, you will have:

  • A degree in Social Work, Community Development, Social Science, or a related discipline

  • Experience in community development and/or family support, with a sound understanding of the Queensland child protection system

  • Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and issues, with a commitment to respectful engagement and practice

  • Strong ability to support reflective practice and professional development across teams

  • Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
