 We are seeking a positive and dynamic person with a passion for impacting the lives of those around them to join our existing Parent Pathways team in Berserker. The program provides tailored support for parents and carers by delivering pre-employment support, assisting with the development of future plans, and connecting them with local activities and services. 

 Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of parents and carers of young children? This position will suit someone with empathy and drive, you will be self-motivated and able to work autonomously, someone who can connect with parents and carers of young children, from diverse backgrounds. We will provide you with everything you need to succeed in this role.

 This role is a Full time – Fixed term Contract until 31 October 2027.

 To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A genuine desire to assist participants with life skills, social connections and community connections

  • Ability to advocate on behalf of participants to referral services

  • Build relationships with community organisations and stakeholders

  • Exceptionally good time management skills to balance administration with participant engagement

  • Understand and ensure compliance with policies and procedures applicable to the program

  • A willingness to meet participants in different locations within the region

  • Create and develop strong internal and external relationships

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Great teamwork skills to find creative solutions and positive outcomes for participants

  • Sound digital literacy skills utilising different software platforms for reporting as well as Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel & Outlook)

  • Applicants with a Diploma or Certificate III in Community Services or other relevant qualification, (or working towards a Diploma or Certificate).

  • Applicants should have lived experience and the following qualities: empathy, resilience, non-judgmental with knowledge of existing support services

National Joblink (NJL) is a not-for-profit organisation serving local communities for over 30 years throughout TAS and QLD.  Today we provide a suite of services under the framework of Workforce Australia, are a specialised RTO, have a successful training restaurant in Cairns, a Cafe in Launceston and provide outdoor activities at our Tarkine Wilderness Lodge and a National Driving School. 

 A current driver’s licence and reliable car is required and as a Child Safe Organisation you will currently hold (or willing to obtain) a valid Working with Children Check and ability to pass a Criminal History Check.
